I have just learned that Owen E. Brooks passed away at his home in Amityville, New York on October 25, leaving his wife of 65 years, Marilyn, and family. Owen was in his 91st year. Owen was a long time seasonal resident of Pebble Beach Villas and served on the PBV board, many years as Treasurer. He was a very senior officer of Pfizer and was instrumental in building many of it's facilities around the world. He was a very active sailor and a former Commodore of Narrasketuck Yacht Club in Amityville, New York. He also served as Chairman of the Great South Bay Yacht Racing Association Regatta Committee. Many of us recall his sons and daughter visiting PBV on many occasions. His oldest son, Owen Jr. is a Naval Academy Graduate serving on submarines in the U.S.Navy. Frank McCauley |
