Jerri by our new dumpster doors.

Indian River Shores Police Officer Kip Benham came to the Clubhouse for a CPR hands-on training session, which included using a defibrillator.
Kip is an excellent teacher, and we all left feeling confident that we knew what had to be done in such an emergency.

Social Planning Meeting for 2016 Activities & Events

1/22/16

Maddie Higgins, who graciously volunteered to be our 2016 PBV Social Director, did a wonderful job chairing the meeting. The strong turnout of both owners and renters allowed for a lively discussion and a friendly exchange of ideas. View the results of our meeting by opening the "2016 Calendar" link at the top of this page.

Safety Meeting

The owners and renters at PBV had a very informative meeting with Detective Kip Benham. Ralph invited the Detective to speak to us about community safety and the many programs offered at our police, fire and rescue facilities located at Indian River Shores Town Complex on A1A.

The Detective spoke of the many programs offered to IRS residents and the security camera program that will be implemented in April. There will be a camera at the North and South entrance to IRS recording all cars that enter and within seconds the police will know if the driver has any record and if they belong in our community. This will be a great resource in keeping our community safe.

Ralph set up a meeting at the station, which gave us an opportunity to look into offering some of these programs to our residents. We will be informing you when the CPR and defibrillator class will be scheduled. Some of the other programs offered are dementia care, ways to prevent falling, program availability to anyone who needs to keep an eye on their blood pressure, car seat installation for those times when the grandkids are coming, service personnel background checks, vacation house sitting and more.
