PETRON Phillip Peter Petron of Easton died peacefully on May 7, 2012 with his wife Elaine of 54 years by his side.

He was born on September 11, 1931 in New York City. He is survived by his sons, daughter-in-laws, and seven grandchildren: Peter Petron and Emily Kerns of Fairfield, Connecticut, Drs Alexander and Marion Petron of Bedford, New Hampshire, and Christopher and Jennifer Petron of Simsbury, Connecticut. Grandchildren are Elena, Sophia, Isabelle, Eva, Alexis, Zachary and Olivia.

Mr. Petron was a Free Mason and devoted advocate of The Boy Scouts of America. He served in the Korean war and was an elected member of the Easton Board of Finance for many years.

He was a graduate of New York University and Stevens Institute of Technology and retired from the Xerox Corporation as Manager of Strategic Services after 30 yrs of service. He continued on as Product Development Consultant at the Xerox Corporation.

He was a devoted church member, husband, father, grandfather, and godfather. Phillip was an exceptionally warm hearted and honest man with a unique sense of humor. A funeral service with full military honors was held at 10am on Friday May 11, 2012 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, officiated by Father Andreas Vithoulkas. It was followed by interment at Mountain Grove of Easton Cemetery on Harvester Road, Easton.
